FAQs About Phage Therapy and INPT
Whether you’re new to the idea of phage-based treatments or researching options for chronic illness, this FAQ answers the most common questions about phage therapy and Induced Native Phage Therapy (INPT).
What is phage therapy?
Phage therapy is the use of bacteriophages—viruses that infect bacteria—to target and kill harmful microbes in the body. Traditional phage therapy involves introducing lab-grown phages that are specific to a bacterial infection.
What is Induced Native Phage Therapy (INPT)?
INPT is a proprietary treatment developed by Dr. David Jernigan that stimulates the body’s own native phages to activate and target pathogens. Unlike traditional phage therapy, INPT does not introduce foreign phages—it signals your immune system to mobilize the resources already within you.
Learn more about what makes INPT unique.
How is INPT different from traditional phage therapy?
- INPT uses signal-based inputs to activate your own native phages
- No external phages are introduced
- Broader application across chronic, polymicrobial illnesses
- Available legally in the U.S. through PhagenCorp

Is INPT safe?
INPT is non-toxic and drug-free. Because it works with your body’s own mechanisms, there’s no risk of phage resistance or allergic reaction to foreign viruses. Most patients experience symptom relief without a worsening phase.

What illnesses can INPT help with?
INPT is used at the Biologix Center to address complex, treatment-resistant illnesses such as:
- Lyme disease and co-infections
- Mold illness and mycotoxin exposure
- Chronic fatigue, long COVID, and fibromyalgia
- Autoimmune dysfunction and neurological symptoms
See the full list of INPT for specific conditions.
How long does INPT take?
Most patients stay at Biologix for two weeks. The program is tailored in real-time based on daily doctor visits and response tracking. Some cases require longer durations depending on illness severity.
Can I get INPT from my local doctor?
Currently, INPT is only fully available at the Biologix Center. However, licensed providers can access components of the protocol—including Inducen formulas—through PhagenCorp after training and certification.
Details for healthcare providers.
What is Inducen?
Inducen is a line of INPT-compatible signal formulas produced by PhagenCorp. These are used at Biologix and are now available to certified clinics. Each formula is designed to activate native phages associated with specific microbial profiles.
Is this covered by insurance?
Biologix Center does not bill insurance, and INPT is not reimbursable under most policies. However, some patients use HSAs or submit documentation independently for partial coverage. Financial consultations are available during intake.
What kind of results do patients see?
Many patients report significant symptom improvement within days, including better energy, neurological function, and immune response. Some require additional visits for full resolution. Read patient stories.
