Jarisch- Herxheimer (J-H)

When a doctor gives you a natural or prescription antibiotic, the dead bacteria break apart, spilling their toxic microscopic guts into your tissues causing a worsening of your symptoms and often new symptoms. This worsening of your symptoms is called a Jarish-Herxheimer reaction, or "herx."
